Incense, sage or palm in a flame proof container.
A feather for fanning and spreading the smoke.
(Begin outside the front door entrance. Light inscense.)
We bless this home and property where our family lives. We use smoke to bless this dwelling, our possessions and all of us who live within. Smoke can permeate even the smallest space and we send our blessing of protection with the smoke that it be carried through out this home and saturate the space.
In the name of the Creator, Mother and Father of all of us, source of all blessings, we are grateful for this place that we call home. We ask that all who pass through this threshold always feel welcome and sheltered from all the storms and trials of life. Keep all safe and protected within.
(Fan smoke around the entrance way and the front door as well as the people gathered)

This is the center of the life of this home. May it be blessed by the generous and compassionate hearts of those who dwell here.

(Leader moves from room to room followed by all who have gathered. In each new space and room the prayer is repeated, either individually or as a group. Circle through the home rejoining once again in the main living area.)
May this home be a refuge for replenishment and rejuvenation. May it be a cradle for inspiration and creativity. May it be a fertile space for our intentions to take root and manifest. And may it always be a place of joy and celebration of life.
